🚨 Temporary Hold on REDS 365 Program Due to Federal Funding Delay 🚨

CPS Family,

We want to make you aware of a serious funding issue that affects our REDS 365 after-school program. As many of you know, this program is made possible through the Federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant. Although this year’s grant funding was approved in March, we have been informed that the funding—scheduled to be released July 1—has been withheld for review as of June 30.

At this time, we do not have a clear answer on when or if those funds will be released. Without those funds, we will not be able to launch the REDS 365 program when school starts.

This impacts students and families, bus drivers, custodians, cooks, support staff, certified teachers, CHS student workers, and our community. It’s more than a grant—it’s an essential service that touches every corner of our district. We are grateful to have been able to provide those opportunities to students for the past three years.

We will continue to advocate with state and national partners to press for the release of the funds and will keep you informed the moment we learn something definitive.

Thank you for your continued support, flexibility, and care for our students and families as we navigate this uncertainty.

🎾 CHS Tennis recently wrapped up their season at Regionals at the OKC Tennis Center with grit and heart on the courts!

Lyssa and Sami battled their way to a 5th-place finish in #2 Doubles and earned State Alternate honors, while Jaiden and Brinley claimed 6th in #1 Doubles. Makayla finished out our lineup, competing in #1 Singles, proudly repping Clinton on the court.

📢 Class Rings, Letter Jackets, & Senior Regalia Info 📢 This year, CHS students have access to competitive vendors for class rings, letter jackets, and senior regalia. Both vendors, Jostens and Balfour/Gradzilla, will be available for students and parents to shop and order any of those items. Parents and students may be getting mail from both vendors. This is not a school fundraiser. The school is not affiliated with either company in any way and collects no funds from or for either company. If you have ordered your jacket from Jostens, but earned or purchased patches afterward, Balfour can still put them on. Jostens will do this as well for a Jostens purchase. Due to having a much lower cost and equal quality, we are going with Balfour Gradzilla exclusively for cap & gown packages. As the color and style are not exactly the same, all seniors will need to order the cap & gown for the graduation ceremony. The cost is $38.50 for the cap, gown & tassel basic package. Please see Mrs. Perez, the senior counselor, if this puts a severe hardship on your family. 🎓 Thank you for your understanding. 📢 OSSAA DEAD WEEK REMINDER 📢 🗓 June 28 – July 6 ⚾️ OSSAA's required summer "dead period" kicks off this Saturday. That means no school athletic activities, no practices, and no use of CPS athletic facilities for any OSSAA-related training. 🏈 Coaches, assistant coaches, and sponsors may not have any contact with athletes in any athletic activity governed by the OSSAA for the purpose of coaching, training, or instructing. 🏀 We're proud of the hustle our Red Tornado athletes have shown this summer.
