Online Library Resources
Below is a list of on-line resources you and your students can access.
Reading is a great way to explore the world while staying safely at home. Due to COVID-19, we are not currently able to check out physical books. However, here are free ways to read digitally:
Audible.com (https://stories.audible.com/start-listen): Free audiobooks from baby to young adult. No login necessary. Just click on the website link.
Capstone Interactive eBooks: (www.mycapstonelibrary.com):

Epic (https://www.getepic.com/): 35,000 eBooks from K-5 including Spanish and audio. Students can get a login from their teacher or librarian.
KnowBuddy (virtual.knowbuddyresources.com): Books for K-8 including Spanish
User: info@knowbuddyresources.com, Password: KNOWBUDDY
Libby (app on Android, iOS): Overdrive through Western Plains Library System. If you have a WPLS library card, you can request digital access to their ebooks. You will use your library number and pin. If you do not know your information, you may call for it. Adults may apply for cards over the phone; students may not.
Open eBooks (app on iOS, Android): Email your school librarian for an account number and pin. Free app and books.

PebbleGo (www.pebblego.com): Curriculum-connected research tool specifically for elementary school educators and students.

PebbleGo Next (www.pebblegonext.com): The PebbleGo Next family of databases helps students in Grades 3-5 learn about key concepts related to Social Studies, Biographies, Science, States, and American Indians. Robust articles, all supported by read-aloud audio and connected to the curriculum, include critical thinking questions to help students connect to larger ideas.

OK College Start
This website helps students and parents explore career paths that may be of interest to them. It is NOT just for those interested in college, but also career tech schools and on the job training as well. There is even a place where your student can take a survey which will show them careers that match up with their everyday interests while also screening out careers that do not match their goals and interests. This is a great resource for anyone that deals with children. Love & Logic helps raise self-confident, motivated children who are ready for the real world.
